How Hormone Therapy Can Help Singers
We’re often taught that hormones are bad for the voice or a detriment to our singing career, but I think we need to look more globally to understand the value of hormone therapy for a singer’s wellbeing. Making them into something to be feared for female singers has only served as a disservice to our industry at large and plays into the inherent sexism women face in so many ways. If taking hormones helps you feel good, that can truly help your singing and performing in the long run.

Posture Confidence
Posture is often the number one thing humans use to determine confidence. We see someone who looks confident and we see a straight back, chest up, head lifted, eyes ahead… someone who looks unafraid of what life has to throw at them. That is what confident posture looks like from the outside, but how is it serving you on the inside? When you embody confidence, it isn’t about “looking strong” it’s about knowing you are strong.

Why Women Need a Different Kind of Support
When it comes to training bodies, I think it’s imperative that women get specialized support—but not for the reasons you might expect.
